DCP - Data Collection Program

DCP is a program that acts as the "front end" to most other data collection programs (e.g. RA, TH etc.) in the Auditory Lab. A scripting language allows creation of command macros that automate repetitive tasks, and allow users to customize experiments.

DCP was developed at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with support from the National Institutes of Health. It is available for use free of charge for any legitimate purpose. It is not guaranteed to be bug free, though we will make a reasonable effort to fix bugs if you report them to the address below. There is no warranty of any sort.

DCP was first created in 1977 to run on a Datacraft 6024/5 computer (with 32 kWords of memory). It was converted in 1985 to work on VAX/VMS computers, and is still available for OpenVMS (both VAX and AXP). Currently (2002) a version for Microsoft Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP is under development.

The following information is currently available online:

DCP is supported on the following platforms:

     Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000
     Compaq OpenVMS/VAX v5.5-2 or higher
